"Little Red Corvette" Prince

About: This artwork chronicles the iconic story behind the single that catapulted Prince to superstardom and reached No7 in the UK in 1983. Later, it was re-released as a double A-side with "1999", peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart in January 1985. The song depicts an encounter with an alluring sexually promiscuous woman, unfolding through a series of cheeky automotive sexual innuendos !

Prince is depicted in his flamboyant attire from the early 1980s, capturing the essence of his unrivaled charisma. Serving as a scenic backdrop, a vintage map of Minneapolis, Prince's cherished hometown and the location of his recording sanctuary, Paisley Park, exudes an air of reverence. An actual engineering drawing of an early 1980s Corvette seamlessly intertwines with the musical narrative.
